Large and unusual collections of books and manuscripts of maritime history. Cape Cod history, New England genealogy and local lore dating back to the first settlers. Sturgis is the oldest building in America operating as a library, circa 1644. On display, The Bishop Bible, printed in 1604, of Reverend John Lothrop.
