The Old Higgins Farm Windmill was built in 1795 and gound its last grain in 1900. The mill was a smock mill and not a windmill. It is located on a grassy field having been moved from Ellis Landing in 1974 and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Brewster Historical Society maintains and promots the Old Higgins Farm Windmill.
