in 1953 the windmill was donated to the town and Windmill Park was established along with a small swimming beach on the River. It is a beautiful spot overlooking Bass River and the Marshlands toward Dennis from a knoll. There is a parking lot, but it is fairly small. The Windmill was accurately restored in 1999.
